Religious Wounds Process Group for Adults

Facilitated by Jesse Fister, PhD | Hosted by Riverbed Psychology

Many people experience confusion, grief, or pain as they move away from harmful religious environments or question the beliefs that once gave their lives meaning. This ongoing therapy group offers a safe and compassionate space to explore those experiences in the presence of others who understand.

Regularly, 4–8 participants meet for 90 minutes to share, reflect, and support one another. Session frequency will be determined by group need. The group focuses on healing the wounds of religious or spiritual harm, rebuilding trust in oneself and others, and discovering new ways to live with authenticity and purpose.

Guided by Dr. Jesse Fister, an experienced group facilitator, members will learn to navigate their inner experience under their own leadership, with the steady presence of a clinician with personal and professional understanding of spiritual crisis and transformation.

This group is a good fit for individuals who:

Have experienced pain, alienation, or disillusionment in religious or spiritual contexts.

Feel ongoing but not acute distress related to faith or meaning.

Are emotionally stable and seeking connection, growth, and integration.

Cost: $50 per session. Insurance accepted.

Time: TBD
