Ground & Grow: Mindfulness-Based Group for Anxiety

Open for Enrollment
Ground & Grow is a gently structured, mindfulness-based virtual therapy group for adults who feel the weight of the past showing up in their everyday lives — and are ready to feel some release.

Maybe you find yourself cycling through the same thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, even when you know better. Maybe you carry an inner critic whose voice sounds a lot like someone from your past. Maybe there's guilt or shame that lingers, or a sense of being stuck that you can't quite name — even when your life looks okay from the outside.

You're not alone in that. And you don't have to figure it out alone, either.

This group is for adults who have some awareness of how their past is shaping their present, but keep hitting the same walls. You don't need a trauma history to belong here. You don't need to have it all figured out before you walk in. You just need to be curious about your own patterns and willing to show up.

What to expect:

Each session is 75 minutes and follows a gentle, consistent structure. We open with a short guided meditation or somatic practice — something to help you arrive, settle into your body, and get out of your head. From there, we move into group discussion, where members can reflect on the practice, share what's coming up in their lives, or explore themes that feel relevant to the group as a whole. You share only what feels right — there is no expectation of disclosure, and no pressure to go anywhere you're not ready to go. We close with a moment of silence and a weekly intention or journaling prompt to carry into your life between sessions.

The sessions are grounded in the belief that healing happens in both the mind and the body — and that being truly witnessed by others who get it is one of the most powerful things therapy can offer. As Irvin Yalom, a pioneer in group psychotherapy, wrote: "The act of revealing oneself fully to another and still being accepted may be the major vehicle of therapeutic help."

This group might be a good fit if:

• You're aware of your patterns but keep finding yourself back in the same place
• You carry an inner critic that feels tied to a parent or influential person from your past
• You feel alone in your struggles, even when surrounded by people who love you
• There's guilt or shame about your past or present that feels hard to release
• You're curious about mindfulness or somatic work but aren't sure where to start
• You want community — not just coping skills

About the format:

Ground & Grow is an open-enrollment group, with between 3 - 8 participants to keep the space intimate and cohesive. Every prospective member goes through an individual screening call before joining, so the group stays a safe and well-matched space for everyone in it.
