The Authentic Self Summer Series is a creative skill-building workshop designed for middle school girls navigating self-esteem, stress, friendships, emotional expression, and identity development during a crucial stage of growth. This small-group series provides a supportive and engaging environment where participants can explore confidence, resilience, and authentic self-expression through art, music, journaling, reflection, and interactive activities.
Each weekly session focuses on a different developmental theme while encouraging emotional awareness, social connection, and healthy coping skills. Sessions are structured to include guided discussions, creative exercises, collaborative activities, and reflective processing in a warm and supportive atmosphere. The group is intentionally limited in size to foster safety, participation, and meaningful peer interaction.
Topics throughout the series include:
• Building confidence and identifying personal strengths
• Exploring values, self-image, and inner self-talk
• Navigating friendships, boundaries, and communication
• Managing stress, transitions, and emotional challenges
• Strengthening resilience and self-expression through creativity
Participants will leave the series with practical emotional regulation tools, increased self-awareness, improved confidence, and a stronger sense of connection to themselves and others. All materials and supplies are included. This workshop is educational and skill-building in nature and does not establish a therapeutic relationship or substitute for individual therapy.
