About My Clients
Whitney’s ideal client is not defined by age, background, or circumstance, but by a willingness to explore, reflect, and grow—even in the face of discomfort or uncertainty. This client may be navigating anxiety or depression—feelings that have become overwhelming or difficult to manage alone. They may feel stuck in a loop of self-doubt, perfectionism, or fear, and are searching for healthier ways to cope and move forward.
My Background and Approach
In her clinical work, Whitney often draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), using its tools to help clients explore the relationship between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Through this lens, she supports clients in identifying limiting beliefs and internal narratives that may be contributing to distress or keeping them stuck. Many of these beliefs—such as “I have to earn love,” “I’m not worthy,” or “If I’m vulnerable, I’ll get hurt”—can feel like absolute truths, even when they were shaped by outdated or harmful experiences. Whitney helps clients gently examine these beliefs, asking: Where did this come from? Is it still serving you? What might be possible if you let it go?
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Whitney’s work is grounded in a core belief: every individual is the expert on their own life. She approaches each person with deep respect for their lived experience, inner wisdom, and capacity to grow. Rather than positioning herself as someone with all the answers, Whitney sees her role as someone who asks the right questions—the kind that invite reflection, open new possibilities, and help people reconnect with their most authentic selves. She believes that insight and healing emerge not from being told what to do, but from being given the space and support to explore what feels true. Whitney trusts that, given the right conditions—safety, curiosity, and connection—people are capable of finding their own clarity, strength, and direction. Her work is not about fixing or directing, but about creating an environment where clients feel empowered to explore, discover, and lead their own healing process.
