About My Clients
To me, therapy begins with creating a space where you don’t have to perform. Life can sometimes feel like a costume party, where the masks we wear help us cope but also distance us from ourselves. I aim to meet clients as fellow human beings, not problems to be solved. I believe meaningful change begins when vulnerability is met with honesty and compassion.
My Background and Approach
My approach to therapy is deeply humanistic. Rather than viewing clients as problems to be solved, I believe people do their best to adapt, survive, and navigate the world around them. Many of the patterns people struggle with today began as ways of protecting themselves, even if those patterns are no longer serving them. Through integrating Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), I help clients make sense of their patterns while reducing shame and building greater self-esteem.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
My values are strongly rooted in compassion, equity, and social justice. I believe mental health is shaped not only by individual experiences but also by the broader social and cultural systems we live within. Therapy, to me, is a place where people can explore those experiences openly and begin to understand themselves with less shame and more curiosity. I’m also neurodivergent and live with ADHD, which gives me a personal understanding of the challenges that can come with masking, emotional intensity, and feeling like you’re constantly trying to adapt to systems that weren’t designed with you in mind.
