Therapy and changing our beliefs, behavior, and how we think about ourselves can raise our self-esteem. I use a 'person-centered' approach when it comes to address issues with self-worth - meaning that we work from the inside out. Additionally I use CBT, ACT, and mindfulness-based approaches to address these concerns so you recognize and change the core beliefs that get in the way of building confidence.

I understand that addressing trauma can feel painful, but once you have processed and worked through this trauma (or traumas), it can likely feel like a huge relief - like the elephant is finally off your chest. I am dedicated to providing a safe + brave space or you while your work through these past experiences and began to heal. l use the best evidence-based practices shown to help relieve the symptoms of trauma and PTSD (including EMDR + somatic processing).

Psychotherapy can be extremely helpful if you have been noticing some symptoms of anxiety. Therapy can help you to uncover thought patterns that may be adding to anxiety or depression, show you healthy coping skills, and give you perspective + hope. I use evidence-based approaches to address these concerns including ACT, CBT, SFBT, MCT, and Narrative Therapy.

EMDR is effective in helping people process emotionally painful experiences. Long-term results of EMDR affects overall well-being so responses can return to normalcy and health. If you are seeking a peaceful resolution to painful events or to release unhealthy coping strategies, then EMDR therapy may be for you.

CBT treatment focuses on changing unhealthy thinking patterns and unhelpful behavior patterns to increase overall well-being. CBT is heavily supported by evidence to be an effective treatment specifically for concerns including depression, anxiety, negative self-esteem/self-talk and alcohol and drug use problems.

ACT is a form of behavioral therapy that combines mindfulness skills while promoting self-acceptance. It encourages the client to embrace thoughts and feelings instead of fighting them or feeling guilty for having them. ACT is supported to treat concerns such as anxiety, depression, addictions and substance abuse.
