About My Clients
You might have arrived here feeling like parts of your story has you feeling stuck with pain, shame, relationship tension, or confusion about your sexual or relational self. Therapy doesn’t have to replay the same narratives. Together, we can explore the quieter threads: the times you acted with agency, the moments you felt connected, your hopes for more.
My Background and Approach
I guide people who are ready to: 1) Reclaim their own voice beyond trauma, shame, or external labels, 2) Deepen intimacy, consent, boundaries, and relational trust, 3) Navigate identity, sexuality, and pleasure on their own terms, and 4) Rethink what “healing,” “growth,” and “connection” can look like for you. I specialize in working with: 1) Black men wanting to heal, shift narratives, and reconnect to authenticity, 2) Survivors of sexual violence or childhood sexual abuse seeking empowerment, 3) LGBTQIA+ individuals and kink affirming couples wanting a brave space for sexual and relational exploration, and 4) Couples or individuals addressing intimacy, consent, boundaries, identity, and relational trauma. Together, we’ll think of shame, shame voices, trauma as separate from you, so you feel less trapped; challenge internalized messages from family, culture, religion, society; and craft practices and perspectives that align with your values, consent, and relational visions.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I might be a great fit for you if 1) You sense there's more to you than your current challenges; 2) You're tired of feeling boxed in by labels or diagnoses; 3) You want therapy that respects your voice, your culture, your agency; 4) You're ready to take active roles in shaping the next chapters of your life; and/or 5) You value a therapist who is transparent, nonjudgmental, curious, and grounded. Using narrative therapy, we'll tell your story, not mine. Using solution-focused therapy, we’ll find what works for you. I take on a consent-forward stance, so we co‐decide pace, direction, and your comfort is most important. I see clients as experts in their own lives, and my role is to listen, reflect, question, and walk with you as you lean into new possibilities.
