About My Clients
In my practice I value working with intersectional identities and provide anti-oppressive psychotherapy. I have a wealth of experience treating depression, anxiety, relationship stress, low self-esteem and identity issues. I also provide trauma informed care to my client’s. I have years of experience working with adults with PTSD and trauma survivors; specifically, survivors of childhood sexual abuse.
My Background and Approach
I earned my B.S. from New York University in Applied Psychology. I then went on to receive her Masters of Social Work from NYU Silver School of Social Work in 2014 and now practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. During my graduate program I was a part of the New York State Office of Mental Health Social Work Deans Consortium Evidence Based Practice Project. During my participation in this program I received extensive training and education in recovery oriented, evidence-based practices for adults. I am a seasoned clinician who has practiced in both outpatient and inpatient behavioral health settings throughout NYC, including NewYork-Presbyterian and NYU Langone Health systems. I completed an Advanced CBT training certificate program at NYU Silver School of Social Work and am skillful in treating trauma, anxiety and depression. I am an EMDR trained therapist.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Taking care of our mental health is an essential part of living a full, happy and meaningful life. We all have an inherent human need to feel heard and understood by others. I pride myself in creating a safe and trusting therapeutic alliance with my clients and honor intersectional identities. I am interactive, non-judgmental and empathic in my approach. In working with my clients, my style is eclectic and I believe in taking a client centered approach and meeting my client’s where they are in their individual journey. It is my goal to help cultivate within my client’s self-compassion.
