Whether a high achieving professional or full-time parent, these interventions can help you find success both personally and professionally.
My Background and Approach
In a supportive, non-judgmental environment, I take a pragmatic approach to work with clients and use solution focused techniques. I use evidence based psychotherapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) to to help with stress, anxiety, depression, life transitions, self-esteem, relationship issues, and peak performance. I have over a decade of experience, advanced training in the therapies research shows works. This does not, however, mean that therapy is one size fits all. You are unique, your past is unique, and your struggles are unique! I am dedicated to a customized approach as unique as each of my clients.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
While it can be helpful to focus on reducing symptoms, I find that sometimes if we focus too much on what is wrong we end up putting a magnifying glass on your problems and they grow bigger and stickier. I think it's important to balance focusing on "the problem" with focusing on identifying your values and strategies for living a life that is consistent with those values. I can't promise you a life without any pain, anxiety, or sadness. After all, that's part of what makes us human. But I do know from over a decade of experience as a psychotherapist that if we work together to build strategies to cope with life's inevitable discomfort, while discovering strategies to life the life you really want to live, that life filled with purpose and meaning will inevitably result in much more joy and much less pain.
