About My Clients
I specializes in substance abuse, addictions, mood and anxiety disorders, LGBTQIA+, and mindfulness/yoga.
My Background and Approach
I am a somatic-based clinician as I believe that our body holds our story. I integrate traditional talk therapy with somatic-based exercises (mindfulness, yoga postures, visualizations, breathwork, meditation, etc) to help transform trauma, and use our inner resources to ground and keep us safe. I have worked as a counselor in an IOP, serving individuals struggling with substance abuse. I recognize that recovery is a unique journey for each individual, and works with them to develop a unique recovery program. I understand the importance of the therapeutic alliance and strives to provide a safe, non-judgmental space.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe everything is connected: mind, body, spirit. My intention is to help foster exploration of self, to help in identifying goals, working towards positive change, empowering one to have self-compassion, self-love, and direction. I tend to adopt mindfulness-based and somatic practices as my clinical approach through talk therapy and bodywork.
