About My Clients
H.E.R Counseling focuses on the whole woman. H.E.R. Mind, Body, and Spirit. HER goal is to help each woman become the best version of themselves. Are there parts of you that you would like to change? My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Mental Health Therapist and i earned my Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University, and she earned her Undergraduate degree in Psychology from Florida A&M University. I am licensed to practice in the state of Florida and i am a Qualified supervisor for intern seeking licensure. I am Clinical certified in CBT-Cognitive Behavior Therapy, DV-Domestic Violence, Juvenile Intervention Treatment, EMDR-Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing and I'm also Nationally Certified in Anger Management.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we are an accumulation of our experiences. It is how we process the information of our experiences that shape who we are as humans. Everyone has a different way of relating, sharing, and connecting; I will always meet you where you are, and honor your process. I work from the belief that all people are doing the best they can with the tools that they have. I offer a non-judgmental approach in which woman can feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and sensations, diving deeply into personal issues, and uncovering patterns that no longer serve them. I encourage my clients to get comfortable with the uncomfortable and learn to not only accept, but also appreciate the more difficult parts of one’s self. Aware of the diverse backgrounds and identities of individuals, I strive to understand each client’s worldview in order to help develop new tools that work for them.
