About My Clients
I work with clients facing trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, and relationship challenges, including those with complex histories. I provide a supportive and empathetic environment where individuals can feel safe exploring their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Many of the clients I work with have faced significant life challenges, and I strive to help them process these experiences, build resilience, and develop practical coping strategies.
My Background and Approach
I have done my MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I am an EMDRIA-trained EMDR therapist and have also completed specialized CBT training for complex cases through the Beck Institute. In my practice, I integrate EMDR, CBT, DBT, and REBT to help clients find healing, build resilience, and move forward. My background combines specialized training with a deep commitment to supporting clients through life’s most difficult challenges. I believe therapy works best when it feels safe, collaborative, and tailored to the individual. My role is to walk alongside clients, helping them process painful experiences, gain new perspective, and develop tools for lasting change. I strive to create a supportive and culturally sensitive space where clients feel seen, valued, and empowered in their healing journey.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Beyond my work as a counselor, I am passionate about mental health advocacy within the community and strive to make therapy accessible to people from diverse backgrounds. I believe in incorporating psychoeducation as an important part of psychotherapy, helping clients understand their experiences, develop insight, and gain practical tools for growth and healing. My approach is grounded in empathy, respect, and collaboration, and I am dedicated to helping clients build resilience, gain insight, and create meaningful change in their lives.
