About My Clients
Have you ever felt like anxiety is just waiting to jump out at you, no matter where you go? I’ve lost count of the times I’ve been blindsided by it myself—heart racing, can’t catch my breath, feeling trapped even in my own living room. Growing up in a family where we didn’t really talk about mental health, I know how lonely and overwhelming those moments can be. But you’re not alone, and you don’t have to keep carrying this weight by yourself.
My Background and Approach
The tools I want to share with you come from years of working with people who remind me a little of my own family—folks who carried worries in their bones, sometimes without words for it. I’ve gathered these tools from elders, teachers, and my own lived experience, and my hope is you’ll leave our time together with at least five solid ways to calm your mind, no matter where you are. Maybe you’re riding the subway, at a family dinner, or just sitting alone at home—these are things you can do quietly, almost like a prayer, to bring yourself some peace. I’m pretty straightforward, and I believe in meeting problems head on, but always with respect for where you’ve come from. We’ll work together, side by side, to face the anxiety you’re feeling right now. We’ll start with what’s happening in your body and your thoughts in this moment, and I’ll show you how to take back control—a skill I learned from both science and the wisdom my grandmother whispered to me as a child. For the past decade
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Where I come from, we believe that change isn’t just possible—it’s part of our story. No one’s stuck with what life hands them. I’ve seen people in my own family break old patterns and find new ways to thrive. To me, a lot of what we call “mental health issues” are really just habits and ways of coping that we picked up—sometimes from our own people, sometimes from just trying to survive. Those patterns can be unlearned, and we can teach ourselves something better, something that honors where we come from and where we want to go. If any of this speaks to you, reach out. I’d love to talk about how we can work together.
