About My Clients
My clients are individuals of the Black and Brown community, couples, and families navigating stress, trauma, and relationships.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Sex Therapy, and my work is grounded in trauma-informed, relationship-focused care. My education and training allow me to support individuals, couples, and families in understanding how life stressors, trauma, relationships, and sexuality intersect and impact daily life. Clients benefit from an approach that balances emotional depth with practical tools they can use outside of sessions. I practice from an eclectic framework, drawing primarily from solution-focused strategies, LRT, and Gottman-based interventions. This allows therapy to be tailored to what you are experiencing rather than a one-size-fits-all model. My experience includes working with clients navigating relational challenges, intimacy concerns, and family dynamics. I strive to create an affirming space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to make meaningful, sustainable change.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing is rooted in safety, honesty, and connection. My work is guided by values of cultural humility, equity, and respect for the full lived experiences of Black and Brown communities. I am committed to creating affirming spaces for LGBTQIA+ individuals, diverse relationship structures, and varied expressions of identity and sexuality. I support causes that center social justice, trauma-informed care, and community healing, and I am passionate about reducing stigma around mental health, intimacy, and seeking support. I believe in progress over perfection and meeting people where they are, honoring both resilience and vulnerability. In my work, I strive to show up with intention, accountability, and care, offering support that feels grounded, respectful, and aligned with the realities of everyday life.
