About My Clients
My areas of clinical interest include race and other identity based issues and traumas, familial, relational difficulties and grief. I practice from a feminist, multicultural and relational lens and work collaboratively with clients in their journey of healing. I am passionate about systemic change and advocating for those who feel "othered" by their identities and life experiences. I hope to be able to support you as you navigate your life challenges.
My Background and Approach
I completed my doctoral internship at Johns Hopkins University Counseling Center and my post-doctoral fellowship at Princeton University’s Counseling and Psychological Services. Along with my private practice, I am a staff psychologist and clinical supervisor at a university counseling center. As an immigrant and a member of the APIDA (Asian Pacific Islander Desi American) community, I have felt the unique strain of acculturative stress, systemic injustice and feeling “othered”. These identities have also allowed me to connect uniquely with my clients as they grapple with similar realities. I strive to use my experiences as cultural being to engage actively with my clients in order to advocate for their holistic healing. I am licensed in California and New Jersey.
