About My Clients
You have always excelled in your career, so many people don’t notice that you constantly fight off distractions & work extra hard to stay on top of your responsibilities. You usually deliver excellent work, but it comes at a high cost. Now the chaos is starting to spill over into your personal life and that's a hard stop for you. You've been thinking about getting back in therapy for a while, but you keep putting it off. But you know that taking action now is the only way to build momentum.
My Background and Approach
I’ve always been passionate about helping others to feel understood and valued for being their authentic selves. I have found that people cannot often be categorized into a simple diagnosis. We are the products of our current environments, the challenges that we have experienced, the people who nurtured us (and those who did not), the connections that we’ve built over time, our spirituality or religious experiences, and our unique biological wiring. In my work, I use an integrated approach that combines CBT, interpersonal therapy, and mindfulness. As both a BIPOC & neurodivergent therapist, I have found it helpful to incorporate in-the-moment activities into sessions, such as roleplay. This approach can help to facilitate learning. Note: I don't accept insurance payments & each session requires a $250 investment.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that inside each of us is a capacity for change. I believe the mind, body and soul are interconnected, and I bring this understanding to my practice.
