About My Clients
Life has a way of creating all kinds of transitions. Some feel like waves of excitement and full of opportunity, while others feel overwhelming, unclear, scary, or just plain hard. Stressful or traumatic experiences can fragment our sense of self and leave us feeling unsafe, ungrounded, and disconnected from who we truly are. As an Integrated Somatic Trauma Therapist, I work with adults navigating trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, dissociation, and patterns of self-criticism or disconnection.
My Background and Approach
A Person-Centered approach is at the heart of my practice. I aim to create a warm, empathetic, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment where you can explore your experiences, feelings, and thoughts without fear of criticism to help you gain insight, self-acceptance, and personal growth. I use a trauma-informed, somatic approach—meaning we’ll focus on your whole self: mind, body, and nervous system. Trauma often shows up not just in thoughts or emotions, and in the body as well. Often, our bodies hold wisdom and information that our minds haven’t fully processed—and learning to tune into that can be a powerful part of healing. Each one of us has strengths, even if they're laying below the surface. I recognize that each person's experiences, beliefs, and emotions are influenced by their cultural background, and I'm dedicated to providing inclusive therapy that respects and values these differences. I am committed to helping you navigate the intersection of culture and mental health.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe every person has the innate capacity to heal, grow, and transform by unlearning patterns that no longer serve them. Healing doesn’t happen in a vacuum of self-reflection alone—it emerges through connection: connection with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. I believe that even in the heaviest, darkest, and loneliest moments, meaningful healing is possible when we don’t have to hold our pain in isolation.
