About My Clients
If you are an individual or couple yearning for deeper relationships with loved ones, you are not alone, and the connection is possible. Your story may be one anxiety, breakup or divorce, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship or school issues. You may recognize yourself as a creative, caregiver, highly sensitive person, living with chronic pain or illness, people-pleaser, perfectionist, romantic, or security-oriented.
My Background and Approach
Together we will identify areas of strength and struggle to help you form more meaningful relationships with yourself and others. As a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) my approach blends different frameworks in order to tailor sessions to meet your individual needs. My practice has focused on helping couples and individuals attune to their own emotions, so they are able to identify their needs and wishes and find effective communication and coping skills. I have attended Gottman method couples therapy training, DBT and other emotion-focused programs to help clients learn coping skills to find their calm and be more resilient in love and life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
If many of our problems come from early relationships, certainly our relationships have the power to heal as well. Sometimes we struggle because of unhealthy learned behaviors we have picked up along the way. This means you too, can learn new ways of being in the world. Growing up, I did not have an example of a healthy relationship. Through my own therapy, I healed and learned new ways of effectively communicating my deepest wishes and desires. Now, I help illuminate a pathway to relieve others’ suffering in life and love and I want you to feel the same freedom that I experience. If you want to learn more about how I can help, reach out.
