About My Clients
I work with individuals navigating questions around identity, culture, and belonging. I support clients experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, and challenges with self-esteem. Many are working toward building confidence, strengthening their sense of self, and feeling more secure in their decisions and relationships. I also work with individuals facing family conflict and relationship challenges, particularly when there are differences in values, communication styles, or expectations.
My Background and Approach
I utilize a holistic approach to therapy based on where each client is in their life. I use a mix of trauma work, inner child healing, attachment theories, and cognitive behavioural techniques to target thoughts and behaviours. I also enjoy using mindfulness and different breathing tools in sessions! My prior professional background and training have been around childhood trauma, attachment, and psychodynamic work. I heavily focus on drawing parallels between childhood experiences and how they show up in our adult selves. My goal is to empower my clients and enable them to explore themselves and their needs in a collaborative, healing space, while also focusing on social justice and advocacy as important parts of therapy.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I welcome clients from all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences, and I am committed to creating an inclusive, affirming space for everyone. I strongly support the LGBTQ+ community and have extensive experience working with LGBTQ+ individuals, as well as immigrants and people navigating complex identity experiences. My work has also been shaped by my time in the foster care system, where I developed a deep commitment to advocacy. I not only advocate for my clients but also help them learn how to advocate for themselves, empowering them to find their voice, understand their rights, and navigate systems that may feel overwhelming. Before practicing in the U.S., I volunteered in India, working closely with vulnerable populations, particularly children facing emotional and environmental challenges. This ground-level experience continues to inform my approach, grounding it in empathy, cultural sensitivity, and an understanding of systemic barriers.
