About My Clients

I see clients or a wise range of issues. I mainly see clients who identify as non-traditional or alternative lifestyle. I see and treat them for anxiety, relationship issues, situational problems that may arise, and a whole slew of other issues. I also see couples for intimacy recovery. Sexual intimacy is just one level of intimacy, but for some people it can be a problem when it starts to decline. I help people maintain and rebuild intimacy while dealing with injury or chronic illness.

My Background and Approach

I am a kink aware and a PhD student in Clinical Sexology. I mainly use a Narrative Therapy modality with clients. This modality states that the client is the expert in their own life. As such, I am not the 'know all' expert. I work collaboratively with my clients to find the right solutions for them. I do however have a vast disposal of knowledge, tools, exercises and techniques to help people overcome their problem. Therapy is not a one size fits all situation. Some things will work for some people, and not for others. That is why it is so important for me to work with the client and not just give out advice or solutions to my clients.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe that everyone deserves a non-judgmental therapist. I always strive to treat people with respect and be inclusive. I proudly support the LGBTQ, Consensual non-monogamy, and Kink communities. I believe that every now and then, people find themselves dealing with a 'demon' of some sort. This is not a religious demon, but is instead something that is making life hard. It can be an internal demon, such as anxiety, grief, or shame. On the other hand, a demon could also be external, such as a difficult situation, job related stress, or even interpersonal conflict. I believe that demons grow stronger in silence and solitude. I believe that talking to a neutral third person can greatly limit the hurt that your demon can inflict in your life.
