Depression often presents itself in my sessions in various ways. Being one of the more common diagnoses I encounter in therapy, I have much experience working with the symptoms associated with depression. I enjoy exploring my clients' emotions, thoughts, and behaviors to assist them in figuring out not only the cause(s) of their depression, but how we can work together to improve their symptoms as well.
Anxiety is one of the most common diagnoses my clients come in for. Having dealt with anxiety much of my life myself, I have a personal connection to this diagnosis. Because I see this symptom/diagnosis so often, I have experience in assisting clients to work through the emotions, thoughts, and behavioral patterns that may be contributing to their anxiety, as well as coming up with solutions to decrease symptoms.
I have special clinical interest in working with trauma in general, and I have presented on Trauma-Informed Therapy. I have enjoyed working with clients who have endured trauma because it allows me to collaborate with them during such a significant period of time in their lives. I work with my clients who have experienced trauma to explore the impacts of their trauma and to better their quality of life by reducing the symptoms they are experiencing.
