About My Clients
I work with individuals looking to process and heal from trauma, develop further personal insight and empowerment, improve relationships with self and others, and seeking opportunities for growth, empowerment, overall improved quality of life. As a white, cis, queer woman I consider it a privilege to work with all my clients and recognize and respect the vulnerability and strength, and trust it takes to engage in the therapeutic relationship.
My Background and Approach
I work primarily from an integrated trauma-informed, narrative, anti-oppressive, feminist framework. I include EMDR, interpersonal neurobiology, creative expression, ecotherapy, and skills- and mindfulness-based approaches in my work with clients. I believe that mental, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing are a right and not a privilege. I have worked in the mental health field since 2009, when I began working with adolescents at a therapeutic boarding school in the Sapphire Mountains of Montana. Since then I have worked with adults, adolescents, and children in community mental health, residential, outdoor, and correctional settings. I have provided crisis intervention, individual counseling, family therapy, and group therapy to clients from a wide variety of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
