About My Clients
I work with individuals looking to process and heal from trauma, develop further personal insight and empowerment, improve relationships with self and others, and seeking opportunities for growth, empowerment, overall improved quality of life. I am a white, cis, queer woman, and consider it a privilege to work with all those seeking to gain empowerment and healing via anti-oppressive awareness, reflection, and action.
My Background and Approach
My decision to become a therapist was informed by many things: studying human stories through the lens of creative writing and narrative structure, working with refugee families as an AmeriCorps volunteer, supporting teens at a therapeutic boarding school in the Sapphire Mountains of Montana, and my own lifelong journey of trauma recovery, growth, and healing. As a therapist I work primarily from an integrated trauma-informed, narrative, anti-oppressive, feminist framework. I also include EMDR, interpersonal neurobiology, creative expression, ecotherapies, and skills- and mindfulness-based approaches in my work with clients. I believe that mental, emotional, and spiritual health and wellbeing are a right and not a privilege.
