About My Clients
I tend to work particularly well with clients who have non-traditional paths/orientations: creatives, entrepreneurs, artists, LGBTQ folks, people navigating poly relationships, and anyone who feels like they don’t (or choose not to) fit cultural expectations. I enjoy helping people connect to their authentic selves and foster agency, growth, integrity, connection, and transformation.
My Background and Approach
I have a BS from UC Berkeley and a Masters from Lewis and Clark College and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified RLT Therapist. My work is informed by my education and training in somatic therapy, mindfulness, attachment theory, Polyvagal therapy, Brainspotting, AEDP, Integration therapy, feminist theory, and the couples work of Esther Perel and Terry Real (RLT). I work with trauma and the ways people respond to and cope with its effects (anxiety, depression, relational challenges, difficulty trusting/connecting, substance use). I affirm all gender identities and sexual orientations and support non-traditional relationship configurations. I bring to my work a long-standing meditation and yoga practice and a belief that we all have an organic wisdom and an intrinsic capacity to move towards wholeness.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe we feel better when we sense we are seen, heard, and known in our important relationships. I work with couples to support authenticity, growth, and connection. Through looking at relational patterns, core beliefs, attachment styles, and the way our bodies respond to stress, I support clients to become more resourced and connected so that they can create relationships that are rich and meaningful.
