About My Clients
Are you overwhelmed and unsure how to move forward? Have you tried lots of different strategies to feel better and they're just not working? Are you struggling with a major life transition such as graduation, a break up, or a new job? If so, seeking out counseling is a courageous and important step. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, a major life transition, or relationship challenges, you don't have to figure this out alone.
My Background and Approach
I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings, including work with individuals and groups in community mental health agencies, a partial hospitalization program for women and adolescent girls, and an ADHD center. I am truly honored by the work I get to do with clients. I treat counseling as a collaborative process, and strive to create an environment of support, warmth, and humor, where you can slowly re-discover parts of yourself that have been obscured by the stresses of modern life, trauma, and the various experiences that can cause us to lose our way. In session, I may ask about your past experiences to understand how they are influencing your current situation. Likewise, I may ask you to focus on your present experience. I regularly incorporate meditation and mindfulness practices into session, as a means to increase awareness about emotions and their impact on your life.
