I have experience working in a variety of mental health settings, including work with individuals and groups in community mental health agencies, a partial hospitalization program for women and adolescent girls, and an ADHD center.
I am truly honored by the work I get to do with clients. I treat counseling as a collaborative process, and strive to create an environment of support, warmth, and humor, where you can slowly re-discover parts of yourself that have been obscured by the stresses of modern life, trauma, and the various experiences that can cause us to lose our way.
In session, I may ask about your past experiences to understand how they are influencing your current situation. Likewise, I may ask you to focus on your present experience. I regularly incorporate meditation and mindfulness practices into session, as a means to increase awareness about emotions and their impact on your life.
