About My Clients
Most of my clients' success stories began once they noticed distressing feelings such as "not being myself," "meaninglessness," and "panic about the future;" these kinds of existential and relational crises are particularly difficult to manage in isolation. Over the years, I've learned that parents and professionals experiencing burnout, traumatic stress, cycles of self-sabotage, relational/sexual abuse, and "spiraling thoughts" tend to thrive in treatment with me.
My Background and Approach
I specialize in providing Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as well as Psychodynamic Psychotherapy (PDT). While both of these styles of psychotherapy have a strong evidence-base, ACT is more pragmatic while PDT is more contemplative; ACT focuses on the visible while PDT concerns itself with unconscious mental systems "at work behind the scenes."
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that we all have the capacity to benefit from engaging in high-quality psychotherapy. I believe that I grow and learn alongside my clients and am incredibly grateful to work as a professional in this field.
