Accepting Clients

Hi I'm Megan! I bring together clinical practice, creativity, and research to help people feel more connected to themselves and their lives.

Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Denver, CO

About My Clients

I primarily offer in-person therapy sessions and typically work with children, adolescents, and young adults (around ages 8-30). I often support clients navigating LGBTQIA+ identities, anxiety, depression, self-harm, low self-esteem, trauma, and related challenges, while also recognizing that diagnoses are only one small part of a much larger story. Rather than focusing solely on labels, I center your lived experience and what feels most meaningful and helpful to you.

My Background and Approach

My work is grounded in the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation; it’s shaped by our relationships, identities, and the environments we move through. I offer a warm, collaborative space where you can explore your experiences at your own pace. I draw on approaches such as nature-based, arts-based, and play-based therapies, as well as client-centered practices, and incorporate community spaces like parks, museums, and gardens into sessions when it feels supportive. Whether you’re navigating a transition, processing a past experience, or seeking new ways to understand yourself, my goal is to support you in building clarity, resilience, and connection in your life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

As a queer-identified therapist, I am especially passionate about working with LGBTQIA+ clients and providing affirming, thoughtful care that honors the complexity and joy of your identities. My therapeutic approach recognizes that identity, relationships, and mental health are shaped by social and political contexts. I focus on affirming who you are while also supporting you in navigating challenges, building resilience, and strengthening self-understanding. This can include exploring identity, relationships, gender expression, and ways to cultivate a sense of authenticity, safety, and belonging. I also work as an adjunct professor and researcher at the University of Denver Graduate School of Social Work, which keeps me engaged with current trends in mental health and deepens my thinking about care, identity, and systems of power.
