About My Clients

I work with people seeking to resolve specific issues, including trauma/PTSD, relationship conflicts, emotional regulation, anxiety/phobias, and professional challenges and needs. I provide a safe, non-judgmental, insight-oriented space where clients feel seen, heard and understood, enabling natural change and transformation to occur. My clients are able to express their authentic selves and explore their minds and hearts in a supportive and affirming atmosphere.

My Background and Approach

I have been licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist in California since 2005 and hold a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology and Drama Therapy from the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco, California. After experiencing the power of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), I trained in Attachment-Focused EMDR to treat trauma/PTSD and interpersonal trauma. EMDR provides both Resourcing and Reprocessing skills to address and resolve traumatic memories and experiences, often leading to inner acceptance, emotional and psychological resilience, and peace. I am also a long-time practitioner of Mindfulness Meditation and incorporate Mindfulness, DBT and CBT interventions to promote emotional health, distress tolerance, and interpersonal effectiveness skills.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I am a strong proponent of healthy living, affirmative self-care, and honoring one's individual principles, desires, emotions and social needs. I am deeply spiritual by nature and am welcoming of all spiritual beliefs and practices. I am also a member of the LGBTQ+ community and provide specialized care to those with diverse backgrounds and experiences. I ascribe to the philosophy of "Do No Harm" and practice psychotherapy with a focused and compassionate heart, always placing my client's well-being and internal wisdom at the forefront of our work together. In my free time, I enjoy learning, reading, writing, socializing, dancing, hiking, meditating, traveling and authentic, creative expression.
