About My Clients
My professional background includes working with a diverse client population across a wide range of experiences and identities. I support clients as they navigate depression, anxiety, life transitions, relationship challenges, grief and loss, health-related concerns, and other complex life stressors. My approach focuses on fostering insight, strengthening resilience, and cultivating self-compassion, while creating a safe and supportive space for authentic growth and meaningful healing.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s degree in Social Work and am currently working toward my clinical licensure in New York. My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in evidence-based practices, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based interventions, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I work from a strengths-based perspective, helping clients identify their inner resources and clarify their hopes while fostering growth within a warm, relational therapeutic space. I have extensive experience in medical social work, including hospice and various outpatient medical settings. Throughout my career, I have supported individuals navigating depression, anxiety, grief and loss (including disenfranchised grief), relationship concerns, career challenges, low self-esteem, burnout, and the emotional impact of health-related issues. I understand how overwhelming life’s challenges can feel. In our work together, you’ll find a space that is safe, genuine,
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe whole-heartedly in establishing a strong rapport with my clients to foster a safe environment and build a good therapeutic relationship. I have a deep passion for the bond between humans and animals, and for supporting individuals through the profound grief that can follow the loss of a beloved pet. I care just as deeply about those grieving the loss of human loved ones, recognizing that all forms of attachment and loss deserve compassion and validation. I believe there must be a greater collective commitment to mental health care, including acknowledgment of disenfranchised grief that often goes unseen or unsupported. I am especially supportive of telehealth, as it expands access and allows individuals to receive timely, meaningful support for their mental health needs. In my free time, I enjoy listening to music, cooking, gardening, nurturing nature, and spending quality time with my family and my dog.
