I have endured multiple pregnancy losses and miscarriages in my own journey toward parenthood, as well as have had to wrestle with the decision of abortion. I have been able to network and reach out with appropriate resources to process through my own decisions and losses, and have gained the skills and initiated support for others who have endured such difficult loss journeys themselves.

I have worked with individuals and families with chronic pain and illnesses for well over a decade in hospital, rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. My experience with children, adults, and families dealing with these issues includes education surrounding illnesses, emotional support, connection with local resources, and coping skills development as well. I have enabled many to transition to back to school, work, and fuller lives.

Grief and loss need to be validated, witnessed, and felt in order to build life around these difficult experiences. I have walked this personal journey myself, multiple times, as well as been provided the sacred opportunity to support others in this journey themselves in community, healthcare, and private settings. I believe in the value of holding light and hope for another, allowing them to feel and express pain and grief, and helping them build skills and support to walk forward in healing.

I have experience in working with individuals through a variety of life traumas - grief, loss, illness and injury - and specialize in developing therapy work specific to traumas endured. I have the ability to educate surrounding trauma impact, am mindful of processing through attached images and emotions, and have the ability to teach skills to assist in mitigating anxieties and triggers in moving forward through life.

I regularly model skills of mindfulness with my clients, and assist them in realizing the power of each moment in finding peace and power in their lives. I incorporate skills of mindfulness in client sessions and in coping skills teaching to allow individuals to walk through strong emotions and overwhelming situations with greater strength and success.

Art is a part of earth and life, and I incorporate elements of it regularly in my work with clients. Sometimes, expressing our feelings and sharing our story is more real and powerful in art forms than in verbal or written formats. I assist my clients in aligning their emotional expression and sharing in the modality best fit to them; this tactile image work transfers over to greater understanding and empowerment of emotions and self overall.
