About My Clients
My ideal client is open to the idea of inviting in more self-compassion and both learning and practicing different ways to access their own inner wisdom. This might involve yoga, mindfulness, meditation, or even taking some time to write and reflect during session. I am particularly passionate about helping people work towards breaking generational cycles, as well as supporting parents in navigating the huge transition that comes with raising humans.
My Background and Approach
I do my best to create an environment where you will feel safe, heard, understood and appreciated for who you are. Although I may offer insight, I cannot make decisions for you. Many clients and colleagues have commented on my warm and calming presence. I use a collaborative, non-judgmental, trauma-sensitive, and culturally competent approach to counseling.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
Therapy offers a safe, non-judgmental space to explore what may be holding you back from the life you desire and work towards creating a life that aligns with your values. Since every person has their own unique story, therapy is personalized to each individual. It provides an opportunity to better understand how past experiences impact present emotions, narratives, and behaviors, along with learning tangible skills to cope with intense feelings and unhelpful thoughts.
