Starting therapy may bring up a lot of thoughts and feelings, and your decision to seek therapy shows a commitment to living your best life. I ultimately believe in my work that restoring relationships with ourselves and our loved ones can help navigate the difficult times we live in. My Background and Approach
You and your story matter; our work together will honor your experiences using a person centered approach. While I am trained in a variety of treatment methods (e.g CBT, narrative), we will collaboratively decide the best way to work on your wellness goals. I have additional certifications in trauma informed care and telehealth work. I commend you for your strength in considering therapy. Values I focus on in my work are maintaining compassion, empathy, and curiosity. I will utilize my skills and knowledge to help you cultivate your own inner wisdom and healing abilities.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have been actively involved in a variety of social justice causes, including LGBTQQIA rights and feminist causes. In addition, I provide volunteer peer support for people with limb loss. I believe that “the personal is political,” so these avenues of advocacy are not just benefiting me or my clients directly but society at large.
