About My Clients
I recognize that marginalized communities, such as people of color, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQ+ clients, and immigrants, often face systemic barriers to accessing quality mental health services. My goal is to work with these populations to address disparities and promote equity in mental health care by advocating for justice and embracing the shared humanity of all clients.
My Background and Approach
I received my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University, with a minor in Social Justice & Human Rights. I also recently received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Prescott College, with an emphasis in Social Justice Counseling. I am a licensed associate counselor (LAC) in the state of Arizona, as well as a National Certified Counselor (NCC). My approach to therapy involves a eclectic variety of therapeutic models, such as DBT, CBT, expressive arts, IFS, and narrative therapy to help my clients achieve their goals and feel empowered. My approach is also highly influenced by social justice counseling, liberation psychology, and feminist perspectives.
