About My Clients
You may be a parent worried about your child’s emotions, behavior, attention, or school experience, a teen feeling overwhelmed or misunderstood, or an adult juggling anxiety, ADHD, depression, burnout, grief, trauma, or a major life change. I work best with clients who want therapy to feel supportive, honest, and practical rather than stiff or intimidating. You do not need to have everything figured out. We can start with what feels hardest and build manageable next steps together.
My Background and Approach
I bring experience from school-based mental health, community care, crisis support, case management, and telehealth therapy. This background helps me understand how emotional and behavioral concerns show up not only in sessions, but also at home, at school, in relationships, and in everyday routines. I work with children, teens, adults, and parents navigating anxiety, ADHD, depression, trauma, grief, emotional regulation, family conflict, school stress, burnout, and major life changes. My approach is warm, practical, collaborative, and trauma-informed. I draw from CBT, ACT, mindfulness, strengths-based, person-centered, solution-focused, and DBT-informed strategies, tailoring therapy to each client rather than using the same plan for everyone. I hold a Master of Social Work degree, and I am completing doctoral-level studies in social work. My goal is to help clients feel understood, build useful skills, and make changes that feel realistic in daily life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe therapy should feel human, inclusive, and free from judgment. Every person deserves to be treated with dignity, curiosity, and respect, regardless of identity, background, family structure, or life experience. I value collaboration and do not see myself as the expert on someone else’s life. My role is to listen, offer perspective, share practical tools, and help clients recognize strengths they may have lost sight of. I am passionate about reducing the stigma around mental health and making support feel more approachable, especially for people who worry that therapy will be uncomfortable or overly clinical. I also believe humor, creativity, and authenticity can be powerful parts of healing. Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with family and animals, working on creative projects, and continuing to learn. These interests help me bring warmth, flexibility, and a real-person perspective into the work I do.
