About My Clients
Many of my clients are experiencing a “both-and” moment in their lives. They’re self aware, yet engrained in the same patterns. Wanting change, but uncertain of the effects. I work with people who are curious about exploring identity, meaning, relationships, and/or processing loss, life changes, or trauma. I have particular experience working with the LGTBQIA+ community, grief, supporting relational healing in highly sensitive people, and coping with the impacts of cancer and illness.
My Background and Approach
My holistic approach recognizes that our sense of self and safety develops through relationships and is carried in the nervous system. I view relational and emotional patterns as meaningful responses to lived experience rather than personal deficits. Sessions become a collaborative space to slow down and deepen self-awareness, exploring past and present patterns while discerning what continues to serve you and what you may be ready to release. From this foundation, we soften self-blame and strengthen narratives of resilience, connection, and agency. If helpful, we incorporate grounding, mindfulness, or somatic practices to support regulation and new ways of responding. Over time, these practices help the brain and body move toward greater safety and clarity. I weave this embodied awareness into my work through relational, attachment-informed, and narrative approaches.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I view healing as something that unfolds both within you, and inside the therapeutic relationship. The way we relate to others shapes how we feel about ourselves and the world, and being met with steadiness and genuine understanding creates the safety needed for insight and meaningful change. I’m curious about what has shaped you, and what feels most important to your life now. Our world is constantly changing, which can feel destabilizing, or even unsafe. As a consumer of therapy, I know how meaningful and vulnerable the therapeutic process can be. I also recognize that having the energetic and financial resources to engage in therapy is a privilege. I believe access to quality mental health care should not be limited by circumstance. I am also a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community, and strive to challenge systemic inequities, support marginalized people, and decolonize therapeutic practices.
