About My Clients
Adulting is hard, even when you’ve been at it for a while. You thought your life was on track, but recently things have turned upside down. Maybe you've experienced a traumatic event, a loss, or watched a loved one struggle with mental health or addiction. Now you're feeling overwhelmed, burned out, and exhausted. You might still be functioning—no one has noticed anything's wrong—but you don't feel like yourself.
My Background and Approach
I have over 30 years of experience across inpatient and outpatient treatment centers, employee assistance programs, large corporations and nonprofits. This breadth has given me the ability to respond effectively to a wide range of challenges. I believe your strengths are just as important—if not more so—than whatever you're struggling with. I'm here to help you rediscover yours and even develop some new ones. That feeling of being stuck doesn't mean you're broken. It's telling you that something in your life isn't working, and it's time to make a change. Using a solutions-focused approach rooted in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we'll work together to slow down that spinning-out-of-control feeling. We'll help you unclench your jaw, take a breath, and see things more clearly so you can make choices that work for you—in your work, relationships, and other areas of your life.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I got into this work because I don't believe people have to "hit bottom" for things to change. Depression, anxiety, addiction, and personal crises happen to all of us, and getting help shouldn't feel stigmatizing or daunting. I believe your symptoms are your nervous system trying to protect you and deserve compassion, not judgment. Outside of work, I also volunteer at PAWS Chicago and am passionate about animals.
