About My Clients
Do you feel overwhelmed by anxiety, stuck in patterns that are hard to break, or frustrated by constantly feeling misunderstood? Maybe you’ve been struggling to focus, carrying the weight of past trauma, or trying to regain control after substance use has started affecting your life. I work with individuals dealing with ADHD, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and addiction who are looking for real support without judgment.
My Background and Approach
I’ve spent the past 12 years working in mental health care across inpatient psychiatry, addiction treatment, bariatric psychiatry, severe mental illness, and correctional mental health. These experiences have given me the opportunity to work closely with people facing ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, PTSD, and substance use challenges at many different stages of life and recovery. My approach combines medication management, psychoeducation, and supportive therapy techniques rooted in CBT and DBT. I’m especially passionate about helping people understand how the brain, emotions, stress, and life experiences all connect because I believe understanding can make treatment feel less overwhelming and more empowering. I want you to feel informed, involved, and comfortable asking questions throughout the process. I strive to create a supportive, down-to-earth environment where you feel heard without judgment while building practical tools that help you make meaningful and lasting progress.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe mental health care should feel compassionate, collaborative, and free of judgment. Everyone deserves to feel heard, respected, and supported regardless of their background or where they are in life. I value authenticity, empathy, and creating a space where people can openly talk about things they may have felt misunderstood or ashamed of in the past. I’m passionate about psychoeducation and helping people better understand how the brain, emotions, trauma, stress, and life experiences all connect. I believe that understanding ourselves more deeply can be a powerful part of healing and personal growth. Outside of work, I value balance, connection, and making time for the things that bring joy and meaning to life. I enjoy spending time with my wife Sophie and our dogs Eddie and Koda, playing guitar, exploring new restaurants, gaming, and spending time near the water whenever I can.
