About My Clients

I provide a safe, supportive and healing therapeutic space for those experiencing anxiety, depression, challenging life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, or addictions, to begin processing and gaining insight and skills to better navigate these challenges. I believe you are the expert in your own life and I am simply here to guide you along your journey of self-discovery toward clarity.

My Background and Approach

Therapy is an individualized process, which means I meet you where you are and create a plan to support your individual needs and goals. I will help you identify the source of your symptoms and help you find acceptance and self-compassion while discovering healthier ways to heal, connect and eventually thrive. I use authenticity, humor, directness, warmth and a strengths-based approach to help you build resiliency and self-confidence to enable you to face life’s challenges. Through holistic and integrative practices such as attachment theory, relational therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I will help you create more capacity to navigate the hard stuff and develop strategies to better manage the stressors of your history, relationships and daily life.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

I believe we are all doing the best we can with what we know at the time. I also believe in the healing power of therapy, not only because it’s my chosen profession, but because of my own experiences on the other side of the client-therapist relationship. Through my work as a therapist, I strive to integrate social justice and equity, and create a safe, nonjudgmental and nurturing space for families, individuals and couples to show up as they are and explore the intergenerational impact of their lived experiences. Prior to joining the counseling field, I spent 15 years as a public relations specialist working in both the corporate and nonprofit sectors. I am a mom to identical twin 21 year old daughters, and love warm weather activities such as paddle boarding, biking and hiking. I am a native Eastside Portlander who spent 12 years on the east coast before returning to my roots, and a graduate of Irvington, Harriet Tubman and Grant public schools.

I offer online counseling in the following states:
