About My Clients
My clients are people who want to learn new perspectives and simple, practical ways to cope with challenges like depression, anxiety, addiction and stress. I have worked with clients of nearly all ethnic backgrounds and income levels throughout the L.A. and Orange County areas. My clients may be adults struggling at work, or adolescents struggling at school, as well as people struggling with relationships in general.
My Background and Approach
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist reaching the end of my required hours before Licensure. Before becoming a therapist, as a drug counselor. I am also a former substitute teacher and aide in special education classes. These experiences have made me well rounded and experienced working with people of all ages and backgrounds, as well as couples and families. I also have experience working with formerly incarcerated people.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I have spent a lot of time over the years volunteering in the addiction field, speaking about my own experiences and mentoring newly sober people, for example. Living in a diverse part of Los Angeles County and growing up near Washington D.C., I have always been around diverse groups of people. I grew up with parents from two different ethnicities. Outside of work, I play drums, guitar and bass and have played in several bands over the years.
