About My Clients
You’ve been carrying more than you let on—stress, loss, pressure, or questions about who you are and where life is headed. I work with teens, adults, and veterans ready to pause, reflect, and find steady ground. Together we unpack what’s heavy, connect patterns, and build practical steps toward balance and meaning. My approach is steady, direct, and human—grounded in lived experience and respect for your story.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) and Licensed School Counselor in Colorado with a background in mental health, education, and 20 years of Air Force service, including combat experience. My work is shaped by both discipline and compassion—helping clients bring order, understanding, and calm to what feels overwhelming. I specialize in stress, anxiety, trauma, grief, identity questions, and major life transitions. My clients often arrive feeling overextended or uncertain and leave sessions with a clearer sense of direction and renewed steadiness. I draw from meaning-centered, attachment, and somatic approaches to help you reconnect with your body, values, and sense of self. Early work focuses on understanding what’s been hard to carry; from there we build practical steps toward lasting change. My goal is to create a steady, respectful space where insight becomes action and your story begins to feel like your own again.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’ve lived and worked all over the world, alongside people from many cultures, languages, and beliefs. Those experiences taught me that beneath our differences, we all share the same core needs—to be understood, to feel safe, and to live with purpose. My work is rooted in that sense of shared humanity. I value openness, inclusion, and curiosity over assumptions or labels. I welcome clients of every identity, background, and faith, including LGBTQ+ and multicultural communities. As a veteran, educator, and counselor, I’ve seen how resilience takes shape in many forms—quiet endurance, laughter, faith, creativity, or the courage to ask for help. I believe therapy should honor your individuality while connecting you to the larger human story we all share.
