I work with people who need support navigating a path that is not the well-traveled trail of societal norms. People who are LGBTQIA+, neurodiverse, chronically ill/disabled, or ethically non-monogamous often struggle to find someone who understands their lives. My Background and Approach
I see myself as a trail guide who can help you hike the trail ahead. I’m here to help you figure out how to ditch things you have been carrying that you don’t need (hello, emotional baggage) and load what must be carried into your pack in a way that makes it feel lighter. I arm you with tools and skills so you learn how to navigate on your own and manage any difficulties you encounter. After all, a compass is just a disk with a spinning arm until a person knows how to use it. When used properly, though, it will show a traveler true north. I guide you along this part of your trail with the belief and knowledge that the power to create the changes you want in life is in the palm of your hand; a spinning compass that you just need help reading before you are on your way up the path ahead. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I’m an active member of the LGBTQIA+ community, serving as co-president of Delta College Pride Coalition and as a member on the Equity Action Task Force at the college where I teach courses including Human Sexuality and Abnormal Psychology. I have been active at marches for trans rights, women’s reproductive rights, reunification of families separated at the border, and the Black Lives Matter movement.
