About My Clients
I work with: 1)Teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, burnout, and lingering trauma that pile up and make life feel impossible. We work together to build self-awareness, change habits, and integrate self-care to support your success. 2) Parents exhausted by conflict and overwhelmed with trying all the "parent hacks" that never stick. We focus on sustainable skills to increase peace in their homes and harmony in their relationships with their kids.
My Background and Approach
My approach is collaborative, drawing on Narrative and Experiential methods that put you in the driver seat of your healing. In our shared power, my role is to support your healing by helping you develop self-awareness, personal agency, emotional resilience, and stronger connections. Sometimes our work may be conversational. Sometimes it will involve movement, games, or tactile work and at times we may focus more on education and skill building. I work with each client as an individual to determine an appropriate approach to support their goals. I specialize in healing from trauma, grief, and family dysfunction. Often, these core experiences drive the anxiety, depression, and negative coping behaviors—including burnout and parent-child conflict—that bring you to therapy today.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
As a therapist - I meet you exactly where you are, then we build a path toward where you want to go. - I bring a balance of deep warmth, empathy, and validation with a hefty side of goal-directed open feedback that leads you towards growth. - I love to provide helpful tools in the moment, and will always send you off with something to practice or ponder but know that often the most life-changing work is slow-moving and building over time. I'll always be tracking both. - I love discussing the process of therapy with my clients and never shy away from questions about what I'm thinking in the background. - I'm going to curl my legs up on my chair while we work, sip a hot beverage, and I'll NEVER say no to seeing a pic of your pet.
