About My Clients
I work with individuals and couples navigating adoption-related challenges, trauma, relationship struggles, and spiritual or religious harm. Many of my clients feel stuck, confused, or overwhelmed by patterns they can’t seem to change. They’re looking for clarity, deeper connection, and lasting healing—and they’re ready to do the work it takes to get there. Together, we create a safe space to explore their story and move toward meaningful change.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 15 years of experience serving the adoption community. As an adoptee myself, I bring both professional expertise and lived understanding to my work. I hold two master’s degrees—one in Marriage and Family Therapy and another in Adoption Studies—which allows me to integrate clinical insight with a deep awareness of how early experiences shape identity, relationships, and emotional well-being. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a therapist, educator, agency director, and advocate for adoptee rights and systemic change. My approach is trauma-informed, attachment-focused, and relational at its core. Whether I’m working with individuals, couples, or families, I aim to create a steady and compassionate space where healing, clarity, and connection can take root. I’m especially passionate about helping clients untangle the impact of complex trauma, adoption, and relational wounds so they can live with greater authenticity and ease.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in the context of safety, honesty, and connection. We’re all shaped by our stories—especially the parts that were too painful, confusing, or overwhelming to process alone. I see therapy as a space where those stories can finally be explored with compassion and curiosity, not judgment. I don’t believe in quick fixes or surface-level solutions. Real change takes work, and I’m here to walk alongside clients who are ready to go deeper. I believe that the past shows up in the present—not because we're broken, but because we're wired for survival and connection. When we slow down and make sense of what’s happening underneath the surface, healing becomes possible. I believe people are resilient and capable of change, no matter what they’ve been through. And I believe that meaningful therapy honors your pace, your story, and your capacity to grow into the person and relationships you long for.
