About My Clients
Many of my clients come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from the lives they want to be living. You might be carrying the weight of old experiences, noticing patterns that no longer serve you, or facing a life change that’s stirred up unexpected emotions. Together, we’ll make sense of what you’re feeling, gently process what’s been hard to carry, and build tools that help you feel more grounded, confident, and at peace. Healing is possible and you don’t have to do it alone.
My Background and Approach
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly twenty years of experience helping adults heal from trauma, anxiety, depression, and major life transitions. My approach is collaborative, curious, and person-centered—I believe therapy works best when you feel truly heard and supported. My early work in global social services shaped a deep respect for cultural context and resilience, values that continue to guide my practice today. I specialize in EMDR, allowing clients to process painful experiences and find lasting relief from distressing symptoms. I integrate attachment theory, CBT, and solution-focused techniques to create an individualized, practical approach that fits each client’s unique needs. Together, we focus on restoring balance, rebuilding trust in yourself, and strengthening your capacity to handle life’s challenges with clarity and self-compassion. My goal is to help you heal, grow, and thrive.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe deeply in the brilliance of the brain, its capacity to protect, adapt, and heal. Our minds and bodies are constantly developing strategies to help us survive the situations we face, doing the best we can with the information and support available at the time. Sometimes those strategies outlive their usefulness and begin to cause pain or keep us stuck, even though they once made sense. In therapy, we honor these patterns as signs of resilience and work together to create new ways of coping that support who you are today. I bring this perspective to all of my work, taking into account how each person thinks and experiences the world through the lens of curiosity, culture, neurodiversity, and lived experience. Healing often means unlearning self-blame, recognizing your strengths, and allowing your nervous system to find safety again. I see therapy as a process of rediscovering your capacity for growth, self-trust, and genuine well-being.
