About My Clients
My clients are often LGBTQIA+ folks (though they don't have to be) who’ve done therapy before. They know their patterns, they’ve got the coping skills—but they’re tired of having to use them all the freaking time. They want to get to the root of things, not just manage the fallout. Whether it’s trauma, addiction, or neurodivergence, they’re ready for deeper healing. They’re looking for a therapist who gets it, brings some humor, and isn’t afraid to go there with them.
My Background and Approach
I use EMDR to help you get to the root of stuck patterns—processing old experiences so they stop hijacking the present. I also bring in body-based work that might sound like, “What do you feel right now? What emotion’s there? Is that familiar? Any memories come up?” It’s simple but it's weirdly effective. My approach is collaborative, honest, and trauma-informed. If you’ve done talk therapy but still feel stuck, I’ll help you go deeper—not just to cope, but to actually heal.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe healing happens in relationship—with ourselves, with others, and with the parts of us we’ve had to hide to survive. I’m not a blank slate in the room; I show up as a real person, with humor, curiosity, and deep respect for your process. I value anti-oppression work, body autonomy, and creating space for identities that have been marginalized or misunderstood. Outside of therapy, I’m into bikes, climbing, weird music, and chihuahuas—not necessarily in that order.
