About My Clients
As humans we're part of a complex web of relationships, human and non-human alike. As someone has said, "we're born in relationship, we're harmed in relationship, and we're healed in relationship." I have experience working with adults of all ages, with diverse backgrounds. Seeking to build a trusting and collaborative relationship is part and parcel of how I view the therapeutic process, opening the possibility of exploring your internal world in all of its complexity.
My Background and Approach
Working from a contemporary psychodynamic approach, I tend to work with relational patterns, both implicit and explicit, within the consulting room as well as without; exploring how unconscious processes play out, especially within the therapeutic relationship, is a major way of coming to understand more about ourselves. When desired, we can also explore dreams, fantasies/wishes, active imagination, and whatever else comes up in the therapy hour.
