My Background and Approach
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Texas. I am also a board approved supervisor. I have been in the social work field for 20+ years. I have been a therapist for 12 years. I have worked with various populations including children, teenagers, young adults, and older adults with diverse backgrounds and issues. My approach to emotional healing focuses on identifying and modifying maladaptive cognitive and behavioral patterns to enhance mental and physical well-being. While I primarily use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy(CBT), I believe that the best treatment is guided by each individual's unique circumstances and life experiences. Therefore, I also employ other therapeutic modalities, such as Solution-Focused, Behavior, and Psychodynamic Therapies, to help clients overcome improve their overall well-being.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe that psychotherapy is a profound tool for personal growth and healing throughout life's journey. It serves as a compass in navigating the complexities of our inner world, offering insights and strategies that empower us to understand ourselves better and make positive changes. The learning process throughout life is continuous and dynamic, shaped by our experiences, relationships, and evolving understanding of ourselves and the world around us. Psychotherapy provides a structured space to explore these dimensions, fostering self-awareness, resilience, and emotional intelligence. Through therapy, we can uncover deep-seated patterns, heal from past wounds, and develop healthier ways of thinking, feeling, and relating. It encourages us to embrace our vulnerabilities, challenge limiting beliefs, and cultivate a more authentic and fulfilling life.
