About My Clients
Do you often sacrifice your own needs in a relationship to meet your partner's? Do you do this with family and friends? Do you end up feeling resentful, unappreciated, unfulfilled, anxious, or depressed because your relationships are unbalanced? I love working with clients to cultivate more self-compassion, empowerment and confidence in themselves so they can enjoy healthy and rewarding relationships.
My Background and Approach
My approaches to healing come from Eastern wisdom blended with Western science. Along with my Masters Degree in Counseling from Portland State University, I have done years of training in various mindfulness-centered, somatic psychotherapy approaches. One of my primary approaches is called Hakomi, which can help you understand the ways your mind and body are communicating to each other to find healing. I also enjoy: Helping couples to communicate more effectively and compassionately; Empowering people that grew up in abusive or neglectful homes to find inner peace, lightness, and resilience to pursue their deepest desires.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe psychotherapy can help you fall in love with life. I teach my clients mindfulness because it can help them understand the unconscious motivations for their feelings and behavior. This can help you make choices based on what's happening in the present moment, rather than habits formed in the past. My goal is to help you unlock your emotional blocks to feeling connected to others, to feeling satisfied, to achieving your career goals, to communicating from your "truest self" with your partner.
