My clients are women in the thick of something they never planned for. They're the ones smiling through baby showers while quietly grieving another failed cycle. The new moms who love their babies fiercely but can't stop the anxiety long enough to enjoy it. The women pregnant again after loss, holding their breath through every appointment. They're strong, resourceful, and exhausted from pretending they're fine. They found me because they're finally ready to stop surviving and start healing.
My Background and Approach
With 16 years of experience, a Perinatal Mental Health Certification (PMH-C), and a graduate certificate in fertility and loss, I bring a depth of specialized training that few therapists can offer. Postpartum Support International recognizes me as a subject matter expert — not because I checked a box, but because this work is where my clinical career has been focused from the beginning. I'm also the author of There's a Fourth Trimester?! — a practical workbook helping new parents go from surviving to thriving in the postpartum period. I draw from multiple evidence-based approaches — CBT, IPT, ACT, and IFS — not because I follow a formula, but because I believe the right tool depends on who you are and what you're carrying. My work is attachment-based at its core, which means the relationship we build together is part of what heals. Sessions with me are warm and direct. My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe you are the expert on your own life. My job isn't to tell you what's wrong or hand you a checklist — it's to help carry some of the mental load so you are never left alone to figure this out. That's a commitment I take seriously. I also believe motherhood shouldn't be this hard. Not because it isn't demanding, but because so many women are doing it without nearly enough support. I know this not just as a clinician — I'm a mom of two, and I've lived the beautiful, exhausting reality of what we ask of ourselves. My practice is built around your real life. Babies are welcome in session. Need to pump, rock, or walk while we talk? Please do. What matters is that you show up — however that looks on any given day. There is no version of you that is too tired, too scattered, or too much for this space. You deserve care that meets you where you are, not where you're supposed to be.
