About My Clients
I work with adults and couples who appear capable but feel anxious, unsettled, or quietly overwhelmed. Many are navigating grief, aging parents, betrayal, identity shifts, or long-standing relational patterns shaped in childhood. Anxiety, racing thoughts, and emotional reactivity are common. My clients are thoughtful and willing to look inward, even if they feel unsure where to begin.
My Background and Approach
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and am a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist in California. My work is trauma-informed and integrates existential, attachment-based, humanistic, and cognitive approaches. I help clients understand how early dynamics shape current relationships while building practical skills for emotional regulation and clearer communication. With over 25 years of mindfulness practice, I incorporate grounded, optional regulation tools to steady anxiety and increase self-awareness. Therapy with me is collaborative and active. I balance reflection with practical strategies so insight translates into meaningful change in daily life and relationships.
My Personal Beliefs and Interests
I believe all people deserve dignity, safety, and equal rights. I affirm LGBTQ individuals and remain mindful of systemic inequities affecting BIPOC communities. Therapy exists within social context, and I strive to offer culturally responsive care. My meditation practice is rooted in Buddhism, though I do not bring religion into therapy. The principles of compassion, impermanence, and mindful awareness is how I work. Outside the therapy room, I spend time in nature and travel often. Nature reminds me that growth is not linear and that restoration requires cycles of effort and rest. Clients do not need to share my beliefs—only to feel respected and supported.
