About My Clients

Many of the individuals and couples I work with come to me because they are feeling emotionally and physically out of touch with their partners. My practice mainly focuses on helping dissatisfied partners communicate effectively and feel more seen, heard, and understood in the relationship. I work from a relational-cultural perspective, aiming to understand each person within the larger systems they exist in, and helping to bridge the gaps in communication by getting to the root of conflicts.

My Background and Approach

Throughout our journey together, you will develop skills as a couple to navigate complex emotions and deepen your understanding of each other, leading to an improvement in the quality of your relationship. By identifying the roots of your issues, you can ultimately gain more awareness about your, and your partner’s, experiences and how it impacts how you both show up in the relationship. Through working with me, you will notice a transformative shift in your communication, intimacy, and sense of respect that aligns more closely with the relationship you envisioned.

My Personal Beliefs and Interests

My highest priority as a therapist is thoroughly understanding your emotional experiences and challenges and ensuring that you get what you want out of therapy. Everyone has a unique story and a unique set of hopes and needs within their journey in couples therapy, and I am dedicated to creating a space where each person can feel genuinely heard, understood, and supported. By considering learning styles, communication preferences, and any other specific requests, I carefully tailor sessions in a way that benefits you the most. I cultivate a nurturing environment where you both feel empowered to explore and reflect upon parts of your identities and life experiences toward a deeper understanding of yourself and each other. Together, we will pinpoint areas for your individual growth and create an action plan to integrate these insights into your relationship.
